The AreaThe Granite Belt District Only two and a half hours drive from Brisbane, Ballandean Lodge is right in the centre of the Granite Belt wine growing district. More than a dozen vineyards are within easy reach, most only a few minutes drive. Also the beautiful and unique Girraween and Bald Rock National Parks close by and easily accessible. Each season is unique and special. In Summer, local stone fruit is available right off the trees. Autumn brings the grape harvest and then the explosion of reds, yellow and orange as the landscape prepares for winter.
